W500 WUXGA LCD "Liquid Movement"

2008-11-29, 21:09 PM
I have a new W500 from work with WUXGA resolution. When the notebook moves, there is some movement in parts of the display, as if the liquid within the screen moves. Is this a sign of a defective screen? Also, the screen is much less bright than the screen on the t61p I previously had (with the same resolution). Why is this? I also noticed that there were differences in brightness between different series t61p at work. This is with maximum brightness, and with the thinkpads connected to electricity

I just got my W500 a few weeks ago. The WUXGA (1920x1200) display could be a lot brighter. I have really crappy Dell Inspiron's that are brighter. No idea what Lenovo was thinking. I can understand if I was on battery but when I'm plugged in, I need it brighter.
