W540 Keyboard Touching Screen

2014-08-05, 1:04 AM

I have noticed that my laptop keyboard touches the screen when closed.  At first it was just some transfered finger oils.  Now it appears that the keys have actually scratched/scuffed the screen.

Does anyone else have this issue?  Is there a known solution?

Thanks in advance.

you can use a piece of paper or something like soft wipe and put it on the keyboard when the screen is closed.

also are you using the touchscreen version of the W540?

Indeed, this is a great Workaround for this workstation.  I use a piece of acid free paper from my art supplies used in framing, cut to the size of the bottom portion.

Now all we need is a latch.
