Windows 7 updates kill external monitors...

2017-10-11, 18:11 PM

Specs:

P50

Win7x64pro

Nvidia quadro M2000

Xeon processor

It seems like every single time a Windows security update or additional occurs, I lose the usb-c and HDMI ports ability to connect at all. The mini display port still finds the external, but I lose the other 2 and the system can't detect any other monitors. I've gone through rolling back drivers, reinstalling drivers etc... I've even done complete system roll-backs and restore (which does work at getting all externals running), but I can't keep doing that as a work around.

Does anybody have a solution; I know it's a widespread issue... and reinstalling or updating the thunderbolt alpine; and nvidia driver etc is what's recommended but it's not working. This is a major problem for me
