no boot

i have a lenovo thinkpad w520 with windows 10 pro installed

sometimes the machine does not start his boot process - nothing displayed on screen - just power on blinking

some time ago I replaced the disk by ssd and still have the same problem

I have to disconnect power - battery - and try again

after multiple test - with intervals - I starts

it keeps doing this for days and then problem is occurring again

any idea how to resolve this problem ?

Hello,

 

The ThinkPad W520 is about 13 years old now.  I wonder if the CMOS/RTC backup battery in it may need to be replaced.  Having a dead/failing one can cause all sorts of unusual behavior.
