Re: "1TB SSD PCIe-NVMe" specifications for Thinkpad P50

2016-04-14, 17:50 PM

Sorry, I can't figure out how to edit my last post.  A single piece of (50 x 50 x 1.00 mm) Artic pad is only enough for *one* drive.  If you have more than one drive, then you will need the larger size (1.45 x 1.45 x 1.00) mm.  I bought the smaller size and now I am going to have to return it.

P50, Intel Xeon E3-1505M v5, 4K, NVidia Quadro M2000M 4GB, Dual Samsung 950 PRO 512GB NVMe drives non-RAID, 32 GB Crucial Technology DDR4 2133 (PC4 17000). Windows 10 Home.

I noticed that at least in the Finnish Lenovo online store choosing 1TB SSD PCIe-NVMe option takes a way the dropdown where you can select 2nd PCI-NVMe device. Also in the dropdown for the 2nd device, there's no 1TB option available to beging with.

For me this looks a bit strange, unless 1TB actually means 2x512GB running RAID-0. Or does the 1TB device occupy more space and that's why there's no room for the 2nd ssd device?
