Hello,

I am not sure what the problem is?  The network connection is on the 5Ghz band at 866.7 Mbps (867 Mbps rounded up).

The specs for the Edimax EW-7822ULC AC1200 Dual-Band MU-MIMO USB Adapter state it connects at "up to 300 Mbps" on 2.4 GHz networks, and "up to 867Mbps" on 5 GHz networks.  The "AC1200" is part of the name of the adapter, it doesn't mean that it offers a dedicated 1,200Mbps connection on a single Wi-Fi network.

Hello,

89 Megabytes per second (MBps) is 712 Megabits per second (Mbps), which is around 82% of 867Mbps.  I will point out, though, that 867Mbps is a theoretical speed and not likely to be one you'll see in real life due to overhead in signalling, interference, etc.

I am not sure if it will help, but just to check, is the wireless adapter plugged into one of the two blue USB 3.0 ports on the left side of the unit?  The USB port on the rear, pluse the combo USB/eSATA port on the left, use the older (and slower) USB 2.0 protocol.

Hello,

It may be a limitation of Windows 7, or possibily a problem with or limitation of the USB network adapter itself.

You might want to return and try a different model which has a larger antenna.  I'm not familiar with Edimax's wireless adapters, but if you like their gear it seems they have a couple of other models you might try: EW-7822UAC and EW-7833UAC.  Perhaps one of those will work better.
