Any way to boot from the PCIe card slot /media card slot with a P51?

I was hoping to boot from the SD card a live linux, but it appears there may not be a way to do this?

If it's not possible, is there a way to boot from a small portion of the regular drive, then load into the sd card? Basically I don't want to have a USB slot being taken up by a drive and the SD card slot is just really convienent.

Hello,

No ThinkPad model is bootable from the SD Card slot.  You can boot from a low-profile USB flash drive, though, if you want.  Samsung and SanDisk are two of many manufacturers that offer such devices.

Comparing the performance of a live distro on SD flash against one on USB3 flash drive why on earth would you want to use SD card ?
