FYI:  I put in 2 sets of the 2x8GB into my W520 (2820QM) and all my blue screens and unexepected shutdowns have stopped.  The last blue screen I had was on 12/23 which was immediatlely before I put the new sticks in.

I am running the 2x8GB Corsair sticks in my T420.  Paid $109 for them.

Yes, there are cheaper deals, but I like Micron quality. They are one of the selected suppliers for Lenovo OEM.

All I've ever seen ThinkPads come with is Hynix (Hyundai) RAM.

Elpida is a Japanese DRAM manufacturer. Micron is in acquistion talks with them.

I forgot to mention that the Crucial 8gb sodimm supports JEDEC#6 which runs at 761  Mhz rather than 685 Mhz
