I recently reloaded my OS, and now my wired network card does not work. The driver manager say the card is working fine. But whenever I connect the network cable, there are no LED's light up on the card, and ipconfig says the cable is not connected.
I know it is not the cable or router, since I pulled the cable from a working T520.
Thoughts? Did I do something wrong on the OS install, or is it hardware?

Is the machine in a docking station? If it is, the ethernet connection on the side is turned off and you need to use the one on the dock. When you reloaded, did you use factory OS or did you use a retail DVD? If retail, you will need to install Lenovo updates. You can use wireless to get them, or use another machine.

The machine is not in a docking station. I reinstalled from a Windows 7 Ultimate (64 bit) install disk from my Windows Technet subscription. I downloaded all drivers from the lenova web site and installed them.

There is only one driver for the W510-4318 CTO for windows 7 64bit. Plus the driver manager says the driver is working correctly.
Whether or not there is a cable plugged in, it says cable disconnected

Ok. It was worth a shot.
How about trying a Linux Live CD boot? Even though Windows is reporting the card as ok, if it doesn't work in Linux, then the report is suspect and you may, in fact, have a hardware issue.
