My new Gobi 2000 WWAN PCI-Card arrived today (this one). However, I am having trouble installing it. I tried both HP and Lenovo drivers for GOBI 2000. Under "Device Manager" I see "WAN Miniport (Network Monitor) #2" and "HP un2420 Mobile Broadband Module". Both of them dont have correct drivers.
I read in some forum post that sometimes the BIOS whitelist has to be modified in order to get the card to work.. how would I do that?
Is there any other way of getting it to work? I care about the GPS more than about the 3G. Cant use Access Connections because of Win8.
Thanks in advance.

Well, correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't Lenovo have a whitelist in BIOS that should prevent you from installing and running non-Lenovo hardware? And as far as I know Gobi 2000 isn't even supposed to be compatible with the x20 series - you should have gotten Gobi 3000. I am using the original one from the Lenovo website http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/itemdetails/0A36185/460/5166FF91DAB5442C846A84A5FA006F9D and I have no problems with it, it is carrier-unlocked and works fine even in the Czech Republic.
