I have P72 and quadro p4200 with similar problems!
Sometimes doing some "simple" tasks the GPU is going to 65C without use 5% of GPU!!
I will try to remove these services How do u kill the auto install?
WIll be nice if u could send numbers from Heaven Engine tests and maybe Specviewperf too!
Crazy to see how good is P73... and about noises? under load? very bad?
I am using throttlestop and fancontrol here to control the noise and the machine is very quiet now even under load.

I am putting benchmark sheet together; Since nothing is available yet, figured it might be helpful for some; I am planning to publish toniight or tomorrow
My primary issues was the downclocking (for unknown reasons, temps was ok)
As far as noise go, it is actually very quite
I would rather have more noise less heat;
Under normal office work CPU fluncuates 60-75C with fan barely running;
CPU heats considerably more: under heavy composite load, with fans full on, GPU stays in 80-85 ball park, often 70C depending on a load, whereas CPU hits Tj quite often and thermal throttles (90C+ commonly)

Sorry to barge in your thread, but I'm just looking for information about the RTX 5000
A simple test, just open up GPU-Z (https://www.techpowerup.com/download/techpowerup-gpu-z/) and tell us what the video memory brand is.
Usually it would show up like this (example on a Lenovo ThinkStation GPU): https://i.imgur.com/5aN17lc.png
Also if you could open up your "advanced" -> "general" and "advanced" -> "nvidia bios" tab and expand the window, please give us the screenshot. It would be a massive help!
Example "advanced" -> "general" : https://i.imgur.com/08a1fvo.png
Example "advanced" -> "nvidia bios": https://i.imgur.com/yrwH8HZ.png
Thanks in advance!

is it from a P73? Here is the GPU-Z info from my P53. Looks like they put a 90W rtx5000 in P73 and 80W one in P53. but i think the P53 still have plenty thermo capacity left when i tested it.
Could you extract your Nvidia vbios with GPU-Z and submit it to its database? I wonder if I can flash my vbios to a 90W one. Thanks.

I do not see it there.
In the verified list, there are no Quadro RTX 5000 cards listed at all, only a single Quadro RTX 6000 bios.
In the unverified list there is a single Quadro RTX 5000 listed with a bios from June that was uploaded October 12th. It is also the 80w version: Lenovo, Quadro RTX 5000 MAX-Q 80W, NVIDIA Quadro RTX 5000, Quadro RTX 5000 MAX-Q 80W (600 / 1500)
Searching the Device ID for the P53 which is 10DE-1EB5-17AA-2297 returns the one bios.
Searching the Device ID for the P73 which is 10DE-1EB5-17AA-229B returns nothing.
I also tried using no filters at all except to show things uploaded in the last 6 months, which resulted in 102 verified, and 139 unverified. Even going through the entire list its not there yet unfortunately. Only the one I mentioned above is present.
