Hdd Caddy for bay adapte

Hi, I have installed Hdd Caddy for bay adapter , but Notebook (thinkpad w540) can not recognize and see it. But same caddy works excellent on other, Toshiba notebook. what can I do? there is some settings from bios?

which model caddy did you get? Also, when you say it doesn't recognise it, does the bios refuse to recognise it too?

This is Netherlands company, ``HDC``, I selected HDD Caddy especially for Thinkpad w540. I'm not advanced user and can not understood what `bios recognition means. fact, that in MY Computer dont shows another drive

Do you see HDD1 item (the drive in Ultrabay) and its model in BIOS Setup menu?

Startup menu -> Boot -> Boot priority order.

Make sure that the HDD1 with its model is on the Boot priority order list. If it is on the Excluded from boot order list, it is disabled.

In the upper list? IMHO it means HDD is inserted unproperly or drive bay is incompatible. Is Ultrabay Lenovo original (has Lenovo FRU) or from 3rd party manufacturer?
