I bought a new Lenovo 9-cell battery for my W520 direct from Lenovo less than 12 months ago (within the warranty period as I understand it). The laptop battery life has declined precipitously and the W520 is throwing up warnings that the battery will not hold a charge.
How are you supposed to submit a warranty claim on batteries? The S/N is not recognized (maybe they don't track bettery serial numbers) and the warranty claim form I did find online required a serial number. Trying to return the battery off the original order doesn't work since the return period is 30 days and it was 11 months ago.
Who are we supposed to contact in this case?
