I have a W510 with 12 GBs of RAM installed. Recently, my motherboard had to be replaced under warranty service. My question is - do the replacement motherboards differ from the ones that were originally installed? I ask this because when I run the DirectX Diagnostic Tool, my approximate total Memory for my display shows as 474 MB, while I thought I remembered it being shown over 1000MB previously.
How do I check how much memory there is in my Graphics card?
To check how much memory there is in your Graphics card, go to:
"NVIDIA Control Panel" --> "System Information" --> "Help" --> "Display" --> "Dedicated video memory", whcih then displays the correct value of "1024MB DDR3".
