How to select High-performance NVIDIA processor for Internet Explorer?

I was tring to assign the discrete graphics card to the internet explorer in the NVIDIA control panel. However, I am not allowed change the preferred graphics  processor.

Does anyone know how to do this trick?

Use the global profile and see if that works

I tried the global profile. Can't find Internet Explorer in the NVIDIA GPU Activity panel.

Hi Icasperr

On the Nvidia control panel go to Manage 3d settings, select the program setting tab and select "Add" on step 1 (Select a program to customize).

Works well on my W540

Re: How to select High-performance NVIDIA processor for Internet Explorer?

The program settings for iexplore are already included in the NVIDIA Control Panel.

The iexplore.exe is automatically assigned to "Integrated graphics".

I can not change this setting, nor can I remove or add the profile.
