Intel Management Engine update broke fingerprint recognition at boot

I just installed the latest firmware for the Intel Management Engine (11.0.18.1002) on my P70, under Windows 7 x64, and now my fingerprint recognition is not working at boot. I still get prompted for a fingerprint, and it's still successfully recognized, but then during the "handover" between that bit of software and the rest of the boot process, the icons seem to indicate that my fingerprint was not recognized, and I now have to type in the user password.

How do I fix this?

EDIT: A couple of reboots fixed the problem. Moderators, feel free to delete this thread.

Having exact same issue and reboots not helping, tried BIOS battery and internal battery disconn
