This evening, I happened upon a benchmark that I had not seen before and tried it with my P70.
While overall machine performance indicators were very high, NVMe SSD sequential read performance between my two Lenovo-supplied 512 GB devices demonstrated a significant disparity. Further, the faster one contains firmware ver. 6L0Q and the slower one, 5L0Q -- the parts appear to be otherwise identical:
I am assuming this variation is probably due to rev. level of firmware. Does anyone know of a method (and location) for obtaining and installing the latest updates for these particular devices? I have tried Samsung Magican 4.97 (and installed the Samsung Storage Controller driver but cannnot locate a disk driver, other than the default one from Microsoft) -- the options to update firmware as well as optimize disk, etc. are greyed-out and unavailable.
Any help would be appreciated.

This is the firmware level in of the SM951 SSDs installed in my P70:

That's the same as on one of mine. Are you able to use Magician to update your firmware or is it unavailable as well?

My SSDs both came with the latest firmware configured in a RAID 1 array. Magician does not work on the SM951.
