I have the Lenovo P50 workstation dock with 2 Dell P2715q monitors. The P50 is the i7-6820, 16gb, m2000m, 4k, 512gb samsung m.2. (I would have gotten the xeon, but after waiting 2+ months of my lenovo rep telling me every 2 weeks it would be available in 2 more weeks I gave up hope).
When I have both monitors plugged into the Dock, only one will run at 4k and the other at 1080p. The dock says both displayports are 1.2, am I doing something wrong? It will run the laptop display and 1 monitor at 4k but not both monitors.

Had the same problem. Internally, BOTH ports on the dock are hooked up to a single GPU port, so all monitors are effectively limited by a single DisplayPort 1.2 bandwidth.
You can run 4K monitors @ 30Hz though. Or get a Thunderbolt 3->DisplayPort adapter.

Were you waiting for the Xeon 1505 or the 1535?
Coming from my W520 i7-2720QM, its a roughly 35% jump to get to the 1505, vs a roughly 50% jump in CPU benchmark. I have yet to get a straight answer from any rep about the availability of the 1535 in the US, although it is readily available in parts of Europe.

That's what its looking like unfortunately, Nvidia panel shows 3 DP ports and only 1 in use with both monitors on dock. Very dissapointing considering the dock is advertised as having 2 DP 1.2's, very misleading if you ask me.
If I had known that before I would have gotten the Pro dock and not spent the extra money (or waited several weeks) to get the workstation dock.

Got the same problem with a P70, two Samsung 4k Monitors and the workstation dock. I'm a quite disappointed that this pretty expensive dock uses only one DP channel. On a new 4k laptop you would want to attach two 4k screens when having a M4000M.
Thanks for the solution, been trying around with NVIDIA and BIOS settings for some time; Now I've ordered a Thunderbolt 3 to HDMI 4k for the other Monitor. Would there be any other dock capable of doing that with a P70?

You're going to be much better off ordering Thunderbolt to Displayport not HDMI, or else you will not be able to do 60hz on the 4k monitor. (Thunderbolt can drive HDMI 2 but I don't know of any monitors that are HDMI 2 yet).

I had the same issue using the P50 on a Workstation dock (40A50230US) with 2 4K Acer K272HUL monitors. Nothing would display on the monitors, not even 1080p (unless I lowered the resolution in display settings). I did what most others here did: Updated the BIOS, updated drivers....still no luck.
Then I decided to look in the nVidia Control Panel to see what I could do. I changed the Output Color Depth from 16 bpc to 8 bpc and it worked! Both monitors now display 4k. I don't use any applications that support more than 8 bpc output, so changing this setting is not an issue for me.
