Lenovo's power bank and my P51

so I bought this for my P51 with an i7 and I got some message that it could only charge it when sleeping or something, when I plugged it in with the lightning cable going into the computer. Is there any way I could get it to charge the computer while using it? Are there any devices out there that would let me do so?

Re: Lenovo's power bank and my P51

If I am reading the specs on that USB power bank, it provides 48 watts for charging an attached laptop.

The ThinkPad P51 requires 170 watts to charge.

I think there are some 65 watt USB power banks out there, but that's still about a third of what the ThinkPad P51 requires.

Currrently, USB-PD, the USB power delivery specification, specifies up to 100 watts of power can be delivered via the USB Type-C (aka Thunderbolt 3) connector, which is still not enough to charge the ThinkPad P51.

There may be some larger portable batteries which you can plug the ThinkPad P51's charger into, but those probably weigh several pounds and are closer to a shoebox in size, so not the type of thing one would normally put into a bag with a computer.
