Am using Lenovo ThinkPad w541, suddenly from last two days, the screen completely freezes at the welcome page of Lenovo.
From the forums, I have seen some inputs - To remove the battery and by pressing the power button for 30+ seconds but no luck.
I tried to enter Bios, Diagnostic menu but it hangs with the message "Entering Bios" etc.
Can someone please look into this, what could be the problem?

I am not wise in the ways of Lenovo’s but I have seen this happen with a bad ram board, perhaps you could try the old pull one out at a time and try it trick?
One more thing: pull the hard drive and see if it will now boot the bios..

Definitely, I wanted to try some work around. Because this is my primary laptop.
I have 32GB RAM and probably 4 slots or 2 slots not sure. I will randomly check by pulling them.
Thank You for your suggestion.

I have the same problem
yesterday 10.4.19 i ve been working with my w541 - went away - came back :
suddenly the same situation as yours !
the notebook shows the bios start Screen with the thinkpad logo
it s stuck / freeze
no bios access is possible
could this be the windows updates - in the last day all my pcs needed or forced restarte due to windows updates?
my last updates (firmware a.s.o ) i did on 30.3.2019 to the latest driver / firmware - before
the 10.4.19 everything was fine
might there be a Bug in the updates ?
battery out / power off : powerbutton 30 sec: no reaction
start : long hold Power button : no reaktion, no menue
change RAM : Ram OK : no reaction at restart : stuck
change SSD: SSD OK : no reaction at restart : stuck
CMos reset: Battery 30 min off, plug in restart: no reaction : stuck
tried to access bios: no way ... you can wait for hours ...
tried to check hardware: stuck in the check screen
tried to wait for reboot : for hours : no reaction : stuck
Please help - if 2 notebooks stuck nearly at the same time , the same way, there must be a bug
there might be more w541 that stuck in the bios boot process, but maybe the users dont know about this forum.
does someone have a solution - I need my w541 - by now it was super reliable since I bought it (new)
i did no firmwarupdate ! so i cannot understand this problem
thanks a lot

Yes i believe same. Its issue with the recent update. Because after the updates exactly my laptop not working.
My laptop is out of international warranty. When i tried to renew it Lenovo says there are no possible ways to renew warranty. Maybe because of the country.
So i proceeded with local laptop repair shop, they fixed it somehow and the issue is with VGA card. But my big question is, everything working well after the update why we encountered the issue?

This sounds like a video driver update gone wrong, it seems like you would be able to enter safe mode to roll back the update or boot a recovery disc etc.
We have a W541 that is updated and had no issues.
(Windows 7 Pro, Samsung SSD)

What operating system are you using? This is relevent to the updates you may have acquired.
Immediately press F1 key 5-10 times after power on button is pressed.
Also try F1-F2 very quickly immediately after turning the power on.
From user manual:
1. Turn off your computer.
2. Repeatedly press and release the F12 key when turning on the computer. When the Boot Menu window opens, release the F12 key.
3. In the Boot Menu window, select the desired optical drive as the first boot device. Then, insert the rescue disc into the optical drive and press Enter. The rescue medium starts.
you have tried all of these things?
