Update: Computer is on it's way back although I don't think i'll be happy. The repair consisted of updating the drivers which I had already done on my end.
What are my options if the issue hasn't been corrected? Am i still liable for the restocking fee?

I don't think so. Some people just can tolerate the horrible screen quality Lenovo provides for ages. To my experience, there are people who has never seen a true/pro monitor so they think every display looks that bad.
Well, no. Judging from your sig, I have a feeling I've been doing pro work for at least longer than you've owned ThinkPads. And unless you've been living under a rock, even in the Czech Republic I can pretty much guarantee you know some of the stuff I've worked on.
Never make assumptions about the people you're talking to online.
By all means, return your laptop and get a better screen from another manufacturer. Good luck.

I received the laptop back yesterday. After only 15 minutes of use I had to walk away from the computer due to dizziness/nauseau. I have a W541 next to me with an FHD screen that looks like crap but doesnt make me dizzy.
PWM issues dont kick in until about 40% screen brightness so that isnt the issue.
Could it be the coating on the screen/backlight/refresh rate of the panel?

update: I called lenovo sales to reorder the machine with FHD IPS display and the price came out to more than what I paid for this machine which made no sense. FHD to UHD was a $225 dollar option. The rep told me that they run different promotions and she was able to work on the number but still ended up only being 40 dollars cheaper after tax. I have to call back monday and speak to the sales rep that originally took the order. This has been extremely frustrating thus far.

Yes, everything. Also check text anti-aliasing that makes edges blurry and hardly readable. Unfortunately it is almost impossible to disable the anti-aliasing in Windows 10 so hi-DPI display (that have PWM and other issues in Lenovo 2016 laptops) is the only "fix". My assumption is based on reality. If I were wrong Lenovo could never sell such product in high volumes because most of customer would return it. Don't take it personally.

Honestly I'm more inclining to think that you were indeed wrong and Lenovo should not sell this beta version of P50. See also a thread about ECC RAM. Clearly now after a half year of production we get some info that this is really working -- after few bios updates -- so it was not working from the day one, yet it was advertised, so by customers assumed to be working. Such business practice is not gaining Lenovo too much trust I guess, at least amoung the high-end customers like me, who need xeon + ECC. I'm quite sick of this situation since my current thinkpad is at the end of its lifetime probably and I'll need update...

I'm sure lenovo will do right by me and reorder the machine for the right price.
I've had many lenovos over the years: r61 t61 w510 w520 w541 and currently the p50.

Hi greekcs,
I was wondering now that you got yor P50 with 4K back - other than the fact that the display causes you eye fatigue - was the only thing they did to it just to update some drivers? ![]()
Was this Lenovo or was the work outsourced by Lenovo to a third-party repair location?
