I'm new on this forum and I'm reading a lot of the posts here.
I would like to buy a new notebook workstation and hesitating between the Lenovo P50 and Dell Precision 7510.
The prices are about the same here in Belgium.
I'm leaning towards the Lenovo but what is really bothering me is the choise of display panel.
4K is not nececarry for me on a 15" but I would like to use Lightroom/ Capture one as photography is my hobby.
So a good screen with is preferrable
I'm reading a lot of complaints about the brightness of the FHD screens.
The 4K screen seems to be the best (on paper at least)
What is the brightest screen of all? I like to work outside (in the shadow, not in the sun)
Thanks in advance for your help!

Thanks... I assume the best is the 1080 IPS non touch...
I read the touch version has only 220 nits what is very low... the normal 1080 seems to have 250 nits...
Dell isn't much better concerning display panels apparently....
Why does it have to be so hard .... :-)

The 4K panel does not have PWM at normal brightness levels, or at least it is of a very high frequency.
But the viewing angles of the 4K panel are horrible, but so is the color gamut of the FHD.
How did you get the impression that Dell isn't much better? Just curious, as I can't imagine much worse to be honest :-)

I"ve read also a lot of complaints about the Dell 4K display panel.
Apparently the FHD panel of the Dell seems to be ok so I decided to buy a Dell 7510 with FHD IPS panel.
Thanks all for the reponses

Don't notice any PWM on my P50 panel. And I'm sensitive to that.
That said, it is not particularly bright. That's fine for my use - I use it indoors, and I think most LCD screens are far too bright, but if you're using it outdoors then it may not work for you.
