Still stuck at max brightness

I am so upset with Lenovo for making spend 2 hours on the phone with tech support over this.  Not for an almost $3k machine, this is insane Smiley Sad

Re: P1 Gen2 brightness control not working

Should I be able to load DCH drivers off the Intel site or does Lenovo whitelist drivers? I keep getting "operating system not supported" errors when attempting to install new Intel GPU drivers.

Re: P1 Gen2 brightness control not working

I am new to Lenovo and new to this forum, I joined plurely due to the fact my virtually brand new P1 gen 2 is experiencing the same issue.

I am unable to change the brightness dispite having tried a few of the fixes listed here. The issue started right after installing Intel Graphics Command Centre.

Looking forward to Lenovo fixing this asap as the laptop is virtually unsuable is many enviroments due to this simple problem.

Re: P1 Gen2 brightness control not working

Here is the new driver to fix the brightness problem:

n2odr09w.exe

It will be released to the website later this week but I wanted to put it here for now.  I confirmed, after installing this driver and reboot, the brightness control starts working again.

Thanks for your prompt. It's really helpful. This problem was so annoying.

Re: P1 Gen2 brightness control not working

How do we install it? It says OS not supported.

Did you previously try installing some driver from Intel website?  Can you post a screenshot of the error?

Re: P1 Gen2 brightness control not working

As of today, there's an updated Intel graphics driver in the P1 Gen2 driver list:

https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-p-series-laptops/thinkpad-...

readme - https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/mobiles/n2odr09w.txt
driver - https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/mobiles/n2odr09w.exe

HTH.
