P43s Plugged in, Not Charging

2020-01-25, 18:59 PM

Hi,

I have a brand new P43s, and for some reason i dont know if this happened after some windows updates or not but my batter stopped charging, currently it's on 98% which says Plugged in, Not Charging...

I tried playing around with the bios battery settings but still did change anything, any ideas how i can fix this issue?

Any ideads would be greatly appreciated, also to mention i have all the windows and Vantage uptodate.

Thank you,

VA

Thats normal.  It wont charge until its below 96%.  You can test by draining until lets say 92% and plug back in.  It should then go to 100%.

I don't know if you read the User Guide or not it tells you same thing.  Page 29.

Note: To maximize the life of the battery, the computer does not recharge the battery if the remaining power is greater than 95%.

See below article.  With that being said I set mine to start charging at 60 and to stop at 80%.  If this post answers your questions please consider marking "solved" to help other members with same question.

No worries.  I have had Thinkpads for a long time and I still have questions myself.
