You can test your ECC settings by running this in CMD: wmic memphysical get memoryerrorcorrection
The code shown corresponds to this table:
0 (0x0) Reserved
1 (0x1) Other
2 (0x2) Unknown
3 (0x3) None
4 (0x4) Parity
5 (0x5) Single-bit ECC
6 (0x6) Multi-bit ECC
7 (0x7) CRC
My P70 shows 5.

The "wmic memphysical get memoryerrorcorrection" only tells you the capability of the memory. It doesn't tell you if that capability is enabled or not from motherboard.
On Lenovo desktop workstations, there's an ECC option in the BIOS/UEFI. Even if you have ECC memory installed, you could disable the ECC function in BIOS/UEFI.
Here's an article explains how to verify if ECC is working or not: https://www.pugetsystems.com/labs/articles/How-to-Check-ECC-RAM-Functionality-462/

Another method is to run
wmic MEMORYCHIP get DataWidth,TotalWidth
in CMD, which will report current specs on your RAM.
Which is indicative that ECC is working. For Disabled / Non-ECC memory, the results should show the same amount for both DataWidth and TotalWidth.
Memtest86 shows N/A on ECC, which I read as this particular memory module not having support in the program.
