P50 Cellular Insert SIM issue.

MY P50 comes with  WWAN antenna.   I added a Lenovo Sierra Wireless EM7455 Qualcomm Snapdragon X& LTE-A card.  I installed the driver and  updated the device. The WWAN is  recognized  under Windows device manager.

I turned off the device.  I removed AC power and battery.  I waited  a while.  then I inserted SIM Card to it Then I turned ON device. No matter which SIMcard I use. Windows keep displaying "Insert SIM" under Cellular section.

I am confident there is  a physical issue with  SIM Tray next to battery section.

The WWAN hardware is recognized by P50 and it  appears to be working right.

With above what do you think?  Is the issue from broken SIM Tray?   Can I fix it myself?  Or it has to be sent to support?

My P50 is under   Depot  or Carry-in warranty.  Does it mean above issue can be fixed by Lenovo support?    Does it mean somebody can come to my home and replace the SIM Tray for me?   If I  Carry-in my device to support  center, can it be fixed in one day?

I am looking to hear from Lenovo support Malaysia. Thanks

Re: P50 Cellular Insert SIM issue.

Update for who may experience similar issue. I had to send back machine to Lenovo support.  According to service center it get fixed by replacing motherboard and Sim Card socket!

It works now and I get about 20Mbps upload or download on the road. Thank YOU!
