It looks like that I'm another lucky man who bought a very expensive laptop made with very poor materials. I bought the P50 in December 2016 and now I discovered that it is cracking nearby the fingerprint sensor.
It is unbelievable and unacceptable. I'M VERY DISAPPOINTED. This means that these company is using materials with poor quality. Is anyone here that had a chance to get the laptot reparied or the money back?

I think there is a problem in quality of used materials - cheap recyclated plastic . I have 2pcs broken bezels during 2month - with using notebook in docking station 95% of time. Lenovo should start using quailty materials instead of recycled plastics, particularly in this category where the laptop standing € 3,500 - we can forget the MIL-SPEC.

In response to customer reports of unexpected cracking on the keyboard bezel or palmrest on ThinkPad P50 and ThinkPad P70 Mobile Workstation systems, Lenovo has released a solution.
If your system has not been dropped, or otherwise not damaged due to misuse, please contact Lenovo Service to receive assistance under warranty and reference confidential Service TIP# SF17-T0018/ HT503602. Please note that palmrest assemblies are not a Customer Replaceable Unit (CRU) part, so the solution requires the system to be serviced by Lenovo, a Lenovo Partner or Lenovo Retailer.
Thank you for your patience while Lenovo made a solution available.
