P50 Motherboard

2017-02-08, 15:16 PM

I just purchased a new P50 Mobile Workstation with the Xeon E3-1505 v3 Processor. I was wondering what motherboard is in the system so that I can look at potential upgrades down the road. I was considering the new Intel Core-i7 7th Gen processors down the road, but I am not sure if the socket type is accepted by the board in the system. If you have any info let me know.

I received my P50 end of December last year, the main board went dead last week. This is my 4th Lenovo. First two were great. 3rd one the X230T had main borad replaced after 6 month of use. Lenovo needs to be careful on quality.

You are probably under warranty.  Call for service.
