P50 - Use "MS inbox driver" Instead of "Intel Rapid Storage Technology"? What?

Hello, I noticed that a new release of Intel Rapid Storage Technology version 14.8.4.1046 for the ThinkPad P50 appeared:

Release Notes

The release notes state:

*2: Caution: This package should not be installed if your system has PCIe SSD.
Please use MS inbox driver instead.

Can anyone please answer for me:

What the heck is "MS inbox driver"??

Re: P50 - Use "MS inbox driver" Instead of "Intel Rapid Storage Technology"? Wha

Inbox drivers are drivers that Microsoft ships "in the box".   Basically they are the drivers already installed into the Windows OS intallers, or pushed down by Microsoft to your system during updates

So if your system is not having issues ,I would avoid the manually updating

Hope that helps

Thanks... sometimes I wonder if any native English speaker vets these release notes.
