P50s UltraDock external display issue Windows 10

2017-03-07, 13:37 PM

Hello Community

My Setup:

  • P50s with i7-6500U and NVIDIA Quadro M500M
  • Thinkpad UltraDock with a 90W and 170W ac-adapter
  • 2x BenQ BL2706HT connect one with DVI and the other with HDMI to the docking station
  • Keyboard connected to docking station
  • Mouse connected to docking station
  • Windows 10 Pro 64x

The notebook was delivered with a Windows 7 Pro and I installed the new Windows 10 Pro on it.

After that I installed all latest driver, means:

  • NVIDIA Quadro(376.84-quadro-grid-desktop-notebook-win10-64bit..)
  • Intel Graphics(win64_154514.4590),
  • Firmware for UltraDock(fwdphb07, version: 2.33.000)
  • Chipset(from System Update)
  • Thunderbolt

Now when im connecting the external displays to the docking station, the LCD screen of the notebook turns black and back on, but the external display is still black. From the Intel Graphic Driver I get the notification when I put the HDMI cable in: "Notification on DisplayPort Topology: A new DisplayPort Topology detected, Click here to configure the topology." When I click on it the Intel Graphic Driver will be opened and I can choose if the display will extend, mirror or single. But if I try to apply for example a extended display, its the same issue.

Hope there will be some solution.

Kind regards

EDIT: The setup works with another lenovo notebook.

EDIT2: If I use the HDMI Port on the notebook the external display works fine.
