I have a P51s 20-HB-CTO1WW that has a busted screen and bad hard drive. It powers on and try's to load. I have a T61 6458-CTO that run's just fine. Can I use the case, screen, hard drive and DVD rom from the T61 with the full mother board from the P51s. I have some experiance changing out part's myself. I just dont want to take the time to tear everything down if it's not going to work. Will I need different cable's? Will I be able to use the cd/dvd rom?I was just going to upgrade the T61 with the parts from the P51s. The memory doesn't line up the gap is in a different spot. So I wasn't sure about the cpu or video card. Figured be easier to swap the whole mother board out. Thank's for any help.

I'M such a dumb a**. Can I just swap out the screen and hard drive? The P51s still won't have a cd/dvd drive but that's ok.

The T61 is about eleven years old. The only part that might be interchangeable between it and the one year old P51s is the hard disk drive. Everything else has different technology using different connectors, so there's not going to be anything in common (aside from the HDD, possibly).
