It is few days that BIOS 1.26 has been withdrawn from the support page. Now latest option shown is 1.25.
Is there a problem with 1.26? Should users revert to 1.25?

BIOS 1.26 has been pulled due to an issue with the Supervisor password.

I have the Lenovo Vantage app on my laptop. It does the automatic search for updates. It tried, but failed. Now the app gives the "Retry install" button but that doesn't work either.
Do we assume they clawed it back because it didn't work?

do you have any official information on that matter. My problem is, I ran into this problem on two of my business devices now (two P52).
I downloaded that 1.26 update together with the Lenovo Support after they swapped out my motherboard for a new one because I had some other issues after that. We installed it successfully because no supervisor password was yet set by my IT.
After another swap of the motherboard due to more technical issues the supervisor password was set before I installed that same update (withuot knowing of this issue) and the device was bricked. We thought some error happend on setting the password also we were pretty sure that it didn't but we did not even got the idea of an issue with the BIOS update and since there seems to be no official statement on this issue, how should we have known?
We ordered a new P52, which arrived yesterday. The supervisor password was now set by my IT and first thing I do (due to necessary settings in combination with my docking station, external monitors etc.) is install that 1.26 update. And again, no way of getting into the BIOS again. It was that time, I finally had the idea, somethings broken and I found this thread.
If you have anything official for me, it would really help make my case against Lenovo and get the support to swap out the motherboard of both devices.

Just out of curiosity - and referring to your latest mishap.
Where and how 1.26 appeared as an update option, since it has been revoked since late May (and still waiting for the next one) ?
