The intergrated IR Camers Device Firmware for Chicony/CKFGE18-C/CKFGE20-A - 10 - 0017 for some reason was inslatted on my P52 (Type 20m9) thinkpad via the Lenovo Vantage app and now the face recognition on sign in does not work. Can someone please help me fix this?

I have this exact same issue. I've checked firmware updates and there are no more avalable. As you can see in the image below, that IR firmware did not install for me and I have no option to try and install it. I've searched the site for that firmware and I can't find it. Not sure what else to do.
Any Lenovo help out there?

I tried to Google the firmware and found versions for other Thinkpad models other than mine (6th gen x1c type 20kh).
The searching keyword I used was "The integrated IR Camera Device Firmware ThinkPad x1c".
I tried to contact the customer service team and requested a ticket. Hope they will come back to me soon.
I just hate it to have to scan my fingerprint multiple times before it finally recognizes me.

Hey, I tried opening System Update with admin privaledges and I still don't have the update available under "Get new updates." Did you use some other way to get the firmware update to try again?

I've got the same exact issue, except the failed install happen on Nov 22, 2019.
Cannot find anything useful when searching for Chicony firmware related to integrated IR cameras.
Someone has to know something about this.
