Hi, I placed an order for a Thinkpad p53 on september 15th. I was initially given an estimated ship out date of September 24th and an arrival date of September 25th. This matched what I saw on the website prior to purchase (ships in 5-7 bussiness days) so I went with it. I Checked my order a few days prior to it being shipped out and saw my shipping date was pushed back to october 8th. I check again a few days ago and it's now "shipping" on the 17th of October! As I have purchased this laptop for school I really cant wait much longer, and am honestly considering just cancelling and going with a different PC. I didnt even customize it. I selected a base model with the expectation that it would ship sooner.
If anyone can help me get a better picture on when my laptop is coming or even somehow expedite the process that would be much appreciated.

I placed my thinkpad p53 order last week on 14th October and it was scheduled to ship 23 october and delivery was 30 october.
However order delayed and now shipping 31th january 2020 and delivery 7th february 2020. Who could accept to wait 4 month for the laptop?

Wait a day and see if it changes. My shipping date went back and forth without any reason. 4 months is way too long so if true there must be a supply constraint on one or more of the parts. There's no way for you to know. You can always cancel the order and resunit with a slightly different configuration.
