P70 Hyper V Virtual Machine Resolution stuck at 1024 X 768

2017-01-11, 15:00 PM

My Windows 10 Hyper V Virtual Machine has the screen resolution stuck at 1024 X 768. I tried installing the NVidia video driver from the lenovo Web site within the guest operating system but still I am not able to change the screen resolution. Any ideas on how I can fix this issue so that I can run the virtual machine at a better screen resolution?

When I try to change display adapter properties all I see is a greyed out 1024 X 768 display resolution:

I figured it out. The solution was to remove the 3D Graphics adapater I had added to the VM configuration.

Now I'm trying to figure out how to get sound to turn on in the VM.
