P70 Upgrade Prices

The price differences between P70 upgrades and Dell's 17 inch workstation are unacceptable. $2500 for the M5000 vs $1000? $500 for the 4k display $175? $850 for 64GB of RAM vs $500?

Lenovo, get your act together. We are professionals. We have a bottom line. If we can get the same specs for significantly less, we will. Brand loyalty be **bleep**. Be loyal to your customers.

Re: P70 Upgrade Prices

Not going to say anything about the option prices... You should however compare fully configured equivalent systems for price comparisons...

And judge differences between the option.

Like the Dell don't have builtin calibrator, which you may not care about at all.

Re: P70 Upgrade Prices

One of the things I find very annoying about the Lenovo website is that it does not show the actual price of the upgrades, it shows the pre-discounted price and the discount varies based on other options you choose.  It's very confusing and takes some time experimenting until you find the right combination.  If you price a base p70 with the M5000M it adds $2250 not the $2500 it states on the site.  If you add the 4k screen (a common option with that card) the M5000m upgrade only costs $1675.  It's still too much but a it's a little more in line with the $1190 Dell charges.
