It has been 3 times. I bought P70 at March 2016, sent to repair for 3 times. everytime they replaced motherboard and video card. I used for 10-60 minutes and turn the machine off, it never back up again, only power button is green and no post. I am asking Lenovo to return the machine and get full refund, also the docking station bough from Lenovo.
Solved! Go to Solution.

This is a typical clueless repair. Instead of proper diagnose of the issue they're just replacing components over and over without a clue of the root cause.

Unfortunately, the bad joke we used to circulate is so often true:
"How does a computer repairman fix a flat tire? He rotates all the tires through the five positions until the problem goes away....."
It's really unfortunate and seriously damages reputation of companies and their customer relations, especially when high-end, expensive products are it issue -- this should not be news to anyone still in business in 2016.
It would appear that metrics for success in the internal personnel evaluation process for techs are predicated on the volume of machines which enter and shortest dwell time before they leave the depot, not whether problems are actually fixed or customers satisfied.
Very disheartening to hear.

I had an issue with windows 10 that was corrupting the bios. The only way I solved the issue was a reinstall of windows and clearing and then reinstall of the bios. Not sure if your issue is similar but it sounds like your issue is not the mb and video card.

No Post at all.

Yeah and if you don't clear the bios you can't fix it. The problem is in the nvram. If you upgrade to a higher level bios the problem remains. I had an image of my system from April, which was before I had the problem, and I just backed up and then loaded that image after clearing and updating the bios. I've had no issues since.

Remove battery and AC
Unplug CMOS battery, remove RAM
Plug in AC and power on. wait for beep error
Unplug AC again.
Reinstall RAM and CMOS bat.
Boots.
This works for me. Changed WIN10 shutdown to complete shudown not fast boot. So far so good, BIOS version 2.04
