Can you post a screenshot of what BatteryInfoView shows?

Re: Problem with Battery on newly bought P71

Shows zero charge, and running on AC power.  Maybe that's why no info is showing, but it looks completely defective.

Doesn't look like a genuine battery to me.  Where did you get it?  If you bought your P71 from Lenovo then it's under warranty and you should request a replacement.

Here's an example of what a "genuine" battery looks like, from my W530.  Note that there is a great deal more information provided by the battery itself about itself.

And one more example, this time from my P70 (currently plugged into wall power, no dock).

Again, your battery is clearly totally discharged and seemingly not "alive" at all.

Needs to be replaced by Lenovo.

And here's my P70 battery as presented by HWINFO64.  Same info as shown by BatteryInfoView.  You should see similar with your own P71 situation, if the battery were working properly.

Re: Problem with Battery on newly bought P71

I ask Lenovo for a new battery and today it arrives and after swap the batterys i received the "No Battery"-error again.

The new now is, that i can't start the computer plugged off battery anymore. Could it be the P71 itself?

regards,

c

What is the wattage of the charger?  Is it the original charger?

Re: Problem with Battery on newly bought P71

It is the original 230W-Charger as shipped with the original device.

I spoke to Lenovo and agree that the device is defect and i need a new one. Redirected from Lenovo to the Shop-Company "Digital River" i need 3 days to receive a message from Hergen Bayer that says i have to contact Lenovo again.

When i do so, lenovo wanted me to conatct "Digital River" again.

It seem like nobody is carrying about that and when i want to try it via the website i see following:

Anobody's here with expriences with that?
