We have some W541 laptops and also some L560 series. Since last week, some of them won't recognize usb devices.
There's no problems when inserting memory sticks and external harddrives, but different mouses, both cabled and wireless and also keyboards will not install. It's like the installation is being blocked.
Since the usb drivers is be part of the chipset drivers (And they were updated the 20th of February) I was wondering if anyone else have the problem with Lenovo laptops or I should look somewhere else to figure out the problem.
Solved! Go to Solution.

Further information (Since I wasn't all that clear in the first post)........
Still hoping someone have an idea of what could be wrong.

Try uninstalling Windows Update KB4074588 and see if that resolves the issue. Information on doing so is available in the following Microsoft Knowledgebase Article: USB devices may stop working after installing the February 13, 2018 update (KB4074588).
