Good Day Everyone
I've recently purchased from a Lenovo dealer in RSA a W530 series, I've asked that the system get windows 8 on as it states windows 7/8 on the pc specs.
Now that i have received it, it only has windows 7? How would one go about contacting lenovo to find out about getting an upgrade to windows 8? As i do not want to set up the pc only to upgrade it shortly thereafter.

I would recommend giving Lenovo Support a call and seeing how you can go about this. The number for South Africa is 0800 110756.

Hi powerscoot, welcome to the forum,
it maybe that you have received a system with the Win7 preinstall from Lenovo, installed through the downgrade rights, and have received Win 8 recovery discs in the box. Any chance you could double check this?
Should you install the system using the Win 8 recovery discs please ensure that you create a set of Win 7 recovery discs before doing so, (should you want to revert back).
