Have a ThinkPad W530 laptop running Windows 8.1. My son tried to download "Team Fortress 2" game from Steam website and AVG caught a threat. The download was stopped and AVG removed the threat then I restarted my laptop. CAme up with a RunDLL error:
There was a problem starting C:\Program Files (x86)\ThinkPad\Utilities\PWMTR64V.dll
The specified module could not be found.
Can anybody help me fix this please!

It sounds like AVG may have had a false positive alarm and accidentally detected a threat in one of the files used by the ThinkPad Power Manager Background Monitor and Tray Battery Gauge. I am not familiar with AVG's software, but if it has some kind of "quarantine" feature, you may be able to restore the file from the quarantine folder.
Failing that, you can download and re-install the driver from the http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-w-series-laptops/thinkpad-w53... page on Lenovo's support site.
You may wish to follow up with AVG support to confirm if this was a false positive and assistance in restoring the file.

Hi. I downloaded the Power Manager driver from Lenovo's website and it did not fix my problem. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same error after installing big update from Microsoft.
OS is Windows 10 (64-bit).
Device: Lenovo Carbon X1
I have tried everything suggested in almost any forum right now and no help.
