Running Win7x64 off W530 Ultrabay

Hi there I have a W530 with a Primary SSD.  I want to add a second HDD in the UltraBay and use that to run a seperate Operating system (Windows 7 x64).  This is because the two parts of my company have two different "build images" and OS versions & domains and I need a physically seperate disk to be able to run the two builds and am quite reluctant to carry around two seperate PCs.

I know there are problems bith Blue-screening when actually running Win7 off a USB HDD, but I want to check whether running on the UltraBay will work and whether I will simply be able to load and rund a second OS on the drive.  Windows also does not allow installs to USB or removable drives.

Does the OS See the drive in the UltraBay as a "USB Peripheral" or as an internal disk drive?  Are there any performance issues with the UltraBay?

Re: Running Win7x64 off W530 Ultrabay

The UltraBay will behave just as an internal drive and should have equivalent performance to the primary bay.
