Safe to use Win Update Quadro 1000 driver just offered?

I run Win7 Pro 64-bit on a w520 with the 1000-level quadro board. I have read about driver updates that break the nVidia workings, so before pushing the button for the update I am checking here. Search provided by the forum yielded poor (old) results. I have a tethered photo shoot using this laptop on Saturday so cannot take a chance. Now my Quadro driver is shown in Device Manager as v9.18.13.546 from 7/31/2012.

The update offers the following details:

nVidia - Graphics Adapter WDDM1.1, Graphics Adapter WDDM1.2, Other hardware - NVIDIA Quadro 1000M, Download size: 227.9 MB. Other hardware software update released in January, 2013

You may need to restart your computer for this update to take effect. Update type: Optional

nVidia Graphics Adapter WDDM1.1, Graphics Adapter WDDM1.2,

Thanks, in advance, for feedback,

First laptop in my house was a luggable Osborne! Now that was a cool computer. (...for its time!)

If you don't need to update, don't. Especially not before something important. Do it after, and get the one off of (Drivers > All Drivers > Beta and Older > (enter specs)). Use one of the Quadro certified ones too.

W520: 2960XM, Q2000M @ 1091/1380, 32GB RAM, 500GB&750GB HDD & 500GB SSD, FHD&MB168B+
X61T: L7500, 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD, XGA screen, Ultrabase
W550s: 5600U, K620M at 1164/1281, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, 3K touchscreen
X200s: SL9400, 6GB RAM, 64GB SD card, WXGA+ screen
TPT1: 1839-23U

And we're back...

Move delayed but still coming
