Re: Shipping Delay!!!!!

Ordered a T480 on 2018 July 31 and oh my - shipping schedules keep on moving (Aug 13 to 15 to 18 to 20 and now 21). If cancelling is possible at this stage, I will do it. Really disappointed. Lenovo has been in this business for so long but how come there's no improvement.

Re: Shipping Delay!!!!!

I just ordered and got a significant delay. I look at the screenshot at time of purchase: "Ships same business day if ordered by 2pm EST"

No qualifications, no what-ifs, just "ships by 2pm EST"

I understand global supply chains, but I also understand lying marketing. Canceling.

Re: Shipping Delay!!!!!

Hello TruthForReals,

Welcome to the Lenovo Community Forums.

We are sorry for the inconvenience. Dates are refreshed automatically based on the latest information provided. In addition, for custom to build systems, the dates may change when a part is selected that has a longer estimated ship date. If one of those selected parts are chosen the dates will change based on availability.”

Re: Shipping Delay!!!!!

I ordered a Thinkpad P53s on August 21st and it says expected ship date is September 27th. It said on the website 5-7 business days to ship. This is false advertising and their product is good but their service sucks.  They said they would put in an expedited shipping order and the expected arrival date never changed. This is very frustrating for a student in college.

Re: Shipping Delay!!!!!

I have ordered a Thinkpad X1 Carbon 7th gen, through Lenovo Canada website on Oct,4th. After going through a whole process for the error one of the agents made regarding the payment, my order was finally placed on the 7th or 8th of October. Afterward, the shipping date mentioned on the website was October, 18th but it was not shipped on that day. I contacted them on both 21st and 22nd of October and they stated the most ridiculous arguments I have ever heard in my whole life:

First, they said, the delay might be because of the high numbers of demand for that particular machine at the time of order, which is not acceptable. That should be the case, they should let the customer know that they do not have that particular machine at the time and that it may take longer than promised.

Then they said we do not have this machine in our inventory and the worst part is they even did not provide me with an estimation of a shipment or delivery date. They have no respect for their customers. They take the money out of your account and that is it. You just have to wait until the moment they feel like sending you the product you ordered.

The last agent I talked to asked me to cancel this order and to ask the sales team to provide me a machine that is available and ready to ship. Seriously? is this a joke or something? just like that, you ask a customer to cancel a machine he/she was willing to buy and get another model? are you making fun of customers? does customer satisfaction even mean anything to you?

I have no idea whether I am going to receive my machine or not, but if I receive it (fingers crossed), this would be my first and last time buying products from Lenovo. I will never recommend buying product from Lenovo to a friend. It does not matter how good the quality of their machines, their shipping and delivery procedures are absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable.

it was a very disappointing experience. Very disorganized team.

Re: Shipping Delay!!!!!

And this issue was never solved. That green checkmark above the page is a big lie. This issue has never been solved and from what I see it will never be solved. Stop lying to your customers and instead try to improve your service.

It is the OP's prerogative to mark whatever post they feel answers their question.  That it doesn't apply to your situation doesn't make it a lie.
