I just installed this driver this morning :
But since then my finger print is not working, i noticed in the windows control panel that there was a little warning sign next to it.
I uninstalled it and re-downloaded the latest version on the Lenovo support page, but it does not seems to change anything...
Here is the windows control panel and the Windows Hello (also unvailable).
Thanks for the help!

Same here with a P51 after updating to Windows 10 1803
By installing the old driver (5.2.3527.26) i could get it to work again...

Thanks for the reply, indeed that's the only solution so far...
I went into the device manager, looked for the fingerprint device and rolled back the old driver.
What I fear now is the new Windows update, will it crash it again?

Hello ! It's a good solution, but where did you find the old driver ? The "roll back driver" button is greyed out ... did you find it at lenovo ?

The driver is not directly downloadable.
I looked in te latest Lenovo driver readme and found that the previous driver was named N1MGF10W while N1MGF11W is the latest.
I did a google search on N1MGF10W and found a big upgrade package containing this driver.
With a trick i could extract the driver from it. Installed it and ok....
But before that i already upgraded the Intel Software Guard Extensions with a driver direct from the Intel website.
This can be a prerequisite. but at the moment i did not investigate further.

I found a direct download for all historical drivers for the fingerprint reader in the official chinese Lenovo site. The past versions are below, and the N1MGF10W is there.
Here it is:
