ThinkPad P50 Application Key (context menu key)

2016-10-22, 18:19 PM

I recently found out the hard way that there is apparently no application key on this model's keyboard when trying to switch between host and guest input in VirtualBox (by default this key is part of the keyboard mapping to switch control back to the host OS).

What is the Fn + key combination to cause the same key code to go through? Shift + F10 doesn't work for this use case, which was the solution given in a different answer regarding the absence of this key. It has to be the actual key.

Or am I going to need to use a third party tool to manually map that key or change the VirtualBox mappings?

There isn't one afaik. https://support.lenovo.com/ca/en/documents/ht074004  is all there is.

Can try https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/timid/2013/09/19/lenovo-w530-and-the-context-menu-key/  workaround.
