ThinkPad T/W 500 4063-CJ5 - Pink screen

2019-12-30, 7:46 AM

Good morning,

ThinkPad T/W 500 4063-CJ5

When I turn on my computer, or when it comes out of standby, the screen is pink.
After a few seconds, it goes back to normal.

There seems to be a problem with the graphics card.
What can I do about it?

Thank you for your help.

This is not a problem with a graphic card, but with CCFL/backlit tube. After years of use, it start to wear out. You have two ways to solve this issue:

  • Replace the CCFL, which is a difficult task.
  • Replace whole panel.

You will learn more about this issue from this topic.

Hello,

Thank you for answering me.

For my understanding, how did you determine that this is the screen ?
Can I take any screen where a special mark is required ?

Cordially.
