Good suggestion, DangerMouse!
Here is the Hardware Maintenance Manual for the W530. This manual has diagrams and instructions on how to remove PC components in the proper order to get to the WWAN card slot. The actual instructions and diagrams for the WWAN card begin on page 78, but you'll have to remove the battery, keyboard, and memory card module slot first. All of these are listed and explained in this manual.
Hope it helps,

This card may be compatible, but it will depend on the machine type and model of the W530. The first models I looked at were not, but some may be. If you can post the exact machine type and model of W530, I will be able to provide a better answer.
Thanks in advance,

Yes, Windows 7 and Windows 8 can be dual-booted. If you do this, then you should have Windows 7 installed first. In Windows 7, you'll firstly need to create a new partition in Disk Management by using the command diskmgmt.msc in the Run command (Win + R). Once here, you'll need to right-click on your primary drive and Shrink the volume. This will create a new partition upon which Windows 8 can be installed. Following the creation of this, insert the Windows 8 media and reboot the machine. You will then boot from the Windows 8 media and install it. When asked "Which type of installation do you want?" you will need to select Install Windows only (advanced) and select the partition you recently created. Here's an article that also walks through the process.
Hope it helps,

Would someone mind telling me which 3g card I need for a W530 (2438)? I believe there's Ericsson and Gobi options available but I need someting that is sim unlocked, works on 3g 850mhz and preferably 4g (lte) on 1800mhz.
