Hello. I recently purchased a Thinkpad P-70 with an FHD screen, and I am disappointed to find only in the past week all of the various problems related to PWM and the latest Thinkpads. None of the posts here or on Reddit answer my question though.
I see that my laptop came with the "equivalent part":
00HN885 AUO 17.3 FHD IPS AGSDC 17.3 FHD IPS AG. According to the manual I found online, this has PWM.
The other part listed on Lenovo's site is the following: SDC 17.3 FHD IPS AG 00HN886
I cannot find any information on the part.
From what I can tell, I have two options: 1> If the other part has no/better PWM then perhaps I can request an ips panel replacement since I do experience some issues. (I also have very sensitive eyes.) 2> Sell the computer. I don't know how, but I cannot hurt my eyesight AND know that I spent much on an otherwise very good laptop. I'd have to find a PWM-less external monitor even to use the laptop, and by then it's no longer a laptop.
Would anyone here be able to advise me and investigate?
