I used the Lenovo-Tool to automatically check what needs to be updated and followed the recommendations. It was a NVIDIA-Driver update for security reasons and about 10 - 15 other updates. What I noticed late was that there was also a Bios update recommended and selected. However, I tursted in Lenovos automatic update meachnism.
The updates ran trough, despite the NVIDIA-Update which was marked by a red cross. Also the Bios update started and mentioned not to turn off the computer. A Dos-Box under my Windows 10 appeared and disappeared and the computer wanted to shut down - which was happening in a normal way. But now the screens were black, the computer was off. After a while, I switched it on again - the fan went on again but nothing happened.
- The screen is black all the time (as if it was broken, no text is displayed)
- External screens, connected via dockingstation or HDMI are black
- Computer did not display anything when connecting a bootable USB-Stick with free DOS
- Interestingly, the computer is warm and the fan sometimes changes its speed.
What can I do now? I assume that something went wrong with the BIOS-Update.
Is there anything I can do on my own? Can this problem be fixed by Lenovo?
